Anna & Ricks Wedding at Harewood House, Leeds

This weekend i ventured ‘up North’ to the Stunning Harewood House in Leeds to photograph Anna & Rick’s Wedding. Anna got in touch when another past bride was singing my praises in an Wedding chat room, check me out for herself, fell in love with my photos and style and booked me straight away. Yay, love the power of the Internet . So, as a little thank you I thought I’d bring with me some sun up from Devon as i heard they’d not had to much the last couple of weeks which pleased them immensely .
Anna looks stunning in her Ian Stuart dress and Vivienne Westwood shoes with big love hearts on the toes. Not sure how they fared on the comfy scale though, hehe.. Rick, a die hard ‘Trekkie’ was wearing the obligatory insignia on his carnation. All in all and amazing day and and a fab weekend. Loved every minute of it, thanks Guy’s. Suzanna & Paul’s Wedding at the Horn of Plenty, Tavistock.

Well it had to happen at some time, yesterday my 3 1/2 year record of just a single wet wedding was increased to 2. We had it all included thunder and lightning however that was a result a Suzanna loves Thunder and lightning, yay… Actually, it sounds worse that it was as we managed to pretty much dodge all of the downpours and still go some fab photos . Despite the weather though i don’t think anything, including sunshine, could have made their wedding at the Horn of Plenty in Tavistock any better, a total ball was had by everyone. From the moment Suzanna came rushing into the hair salon screaming until i left shortly after the first dance it was a laugh a minute, Suzanna, Paul, their parents, brothers, sisters friends and family, all of them enjoying each others company and having a ball, now thats what weddings are about and why i love photographing them so much . I left shortly after the first dance but the party was already in full swing thanks to the awesome band – The Hot Socks! They were fantastic and 100% added to my recommended list! Lucy & Tim’s Wedding at Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe

This Easter weekend i was back up at the stunning Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe for Lucy & Tim’s wedding. We are so lucky here in Devon to have some amazing venues and i have to say Tunnels is up there in my favs. It was a lovely relaxed and informal wedding, right up my street. I was blessed yet again with a dry wedding although it was a little cold when the sun went behind the cloud. Talking of which it came out from behind that cloud just at the perfect moment giving us a glorious Tunnels sunset… . Although there were several highlights of the day 2 that stick out for me was the father of the brides speech, a hilarious double act although I’m not 100% sure it was planned to be as funny as it was, hehe and they’re first dance, choreographed to perfection…

Christina & Darren’s Wedding at the Horn of Plenty, Tavistock.

Wow, you would never have believed that it was the middle of March with the temperatures soaring to 21 degree’s and clear blue skies. Talk about perfect for Christina & Darren’s wedding at the Horn of Plenty, nr Tavistock. As i arrived at the Horn of Plenty of was greeted with Christina screaming out of the bedroom window and came running down to greet me she was soo excited . What a welcome and a great start to a fabulous wedding.
I knew this wedding was going to be a ball after first speaking to Christina and when she emailed me asking if i could photograph her and her bridesmaids in the bath that just confirmed it… (btw, even though you can’t see it they did have clothing on ).
Christina had her hair done by Sarah at Capella Hair and makeup by the equally talented Suzi Winter and looked stunning in her dress accessorised by a Tiffany Bracelet and fabulous Christian Louboutin shoes .
There was not a single cloud in the sky, practically no shade and a harsh (but welcome) sun. Perfect for weddings but not ideal for photography, however, rather than hide from it we used it to our advantage and got some awesome shots, topped off my a perfect sunset later in the evening as well! Still can’t believe this is the middle of March! Enough of my waffle, here’s some teaser piccies from their day

Natasha & Simon’s Xmas Wedding at Northcote Manor

After a week of torrential downpours I was a little anxious as the weekend approached but thankfully someone was looking out for Natasha & Simon for their Christmas wedding at Northcote Manor. Their wedding had a really Christmassy feeling about it, lots of festive decorations and Northcote Manor had the fire roaring away, absolutely fairytale and perfect . The ceremony itself was perfect with one of my fav registrars, Mary Law and played in and out by an amazing harpist. They had some unusual guests in the shape of giant balloons, they were amazing, there were snowmen, Santa’s and Giant Xmas trees, loved them . Here are some teaser photos from their day
