My 2nd wedding of 2010 and I’m back up again to Northcote Manor in North Devon for Katie & Steven’s wedding. I first met Katie & Steven about a year ago at Northcote Manor’s wedding fair and have been looking forward to this day since, they are such a lovely couple and a perfect match. I was a little gutted for them when the forecast was again wrong and the sunshine didn’t appear for as long as it should have but i needn’t have as it did nothing to dampen their spirits at all… In fact it did us a favour as we had the most awesome rainbow just as we were taking the couple photos…perfect! here’s some photos of their day

My first wedding of 2010 was Sophie & Richard’s wedding at Northcote Manor in North Devon and i have to say it’s continued where 2009 left off. What an amazing day. Everything a wedding should be, relaxed, emotional and fun! From ‘borrowing’ the landscaping tools and posing for photos in their wellies through to Richard wearing his flying hat and headgear ‘to put him at ease’ during his speech…Brilliant… They’re now both off on Honeymoon to New Zealand for 3 1/2 weeks and i know they’re going to have an awesome time. Anyway, here’s some piccies from the day….

Snow, Snow & Snow

Wow, how much snow has their been today? Cheryl & Gareth’s Wedding at Heavitree in Exeter & Woodbury Park

Cheryl & Gareth’s wedding at Heavitree in Exeter was my last wedding of 2009. Their reception was at nearby Woodbury Park Golf & Country Club and was decorated by Cheryl, her Mum and her Bridesmaids the evening before. It looked amazing and very festive with the warm red theme and candles. The cake was made by Gareth’s mum and WOW, it looked amazing and can imagine it tasted as good as each layer was a different type, fruit, chocolate and 3 others which I’ve frustratingly forgotten… To top off their amazing day Cheryl & Gareth are today heading off on honeymoon to Hong Kong followed by New Zealand. Lucy Trashing the Dress in Devon

Some of you may recognise Lucy as I photographed Lucy & Nick’s wedding earlier this year at the stunning Stoodleigh Court. Afterwards she very kindly agreed to help me with a wedding fair at Westpoint during which I managed to convince her that Trashing her Dress was the right thing to do… actually she didn’t need much convincing at all Well this morning the wait was over, Lucy braved the cold December temperature as we ventured out in and around Exmouth. I love doing these shoots, they’re soo much fun. As always here’s a sneak preview of what’s to come …

Carrie & Adam Trash the Dress in Cornwall!

Carrie & Adam are down in Cornwall on their honeymoon after getting married in Bristol last week. Sadly i didn’t photograph their wedding but they did book me to do a trash the dress session. Now you know how much i love these, they’re always such fun however i was a little concerned when i woke up to strong winds and heavy rain. Thankfully the rain cleared (a little) for us. This was never going to stop Carrie though, she was amazing and determined to get into the sea, even in Mid december and having got my feet wet i can vouch for how cold it was! Adam was the wimp and got out as quick as he got in…. Sorry Adam, Carrie made me say it … Anyway, he’s a sneak preview of the day…..

Amy & Andrew’s wedding at the Bedford Hotel in Tavistock

Today I was at the Bedford Hotel in Tavistock photographing Amy & Andrew’s wedding. It was a lovely and intimate affair with a few of their closest friends and family. With Amy absolutely hating having her photo taken I was even more keen to get some really lovely ones of her and her family and these will become even more important as the years ahead of us pass.
I have no idea how, but the weather changed the minute the ceremony started, we even had some rays of sunshine, a stark contrast to the severe weather warning and the storms that battered us throughout last night. The theme was Black & white which carried through from the cake that Amy herself made all the way through to Amy’s stunning dress. Anyway, enough of my waffle, here’s a few teaser photos ….

Almost Alone with David Williams

I have just returned after three intense days of instruction and inspiration with David Williams. To spend three days with one of the Top Wedding Photographers in the World as he teaches you to photograph from your heart is simply priceless. He has completely changed the way i not only view my photography but also my family, and preserving memories for generations. A big thanks also needs to go out to Caroline Pilling who hosted the seminar at her studio in Somerset. An amazing 3 days that have changed my life…..

Wendy & Luke’s wedding at Chittlehampton Church & Northcote Manor, Devon

This weekend i was back at one of my favourite wedding venue’s in Devon, Northcote Manor, for the wedding of Wendy & Luke. Their ceremony was held at a nearby and extremely picturesque church in the small village of Chittlehampton. Now the vicar here is a shining example to all of the clergy, it was lovely to see him ‘be in touch with’ and socialise with the congregation and todays churches need more like him. Anyway, back to the wedding….. Wendy & Luke are such a lovely couple with a great sense of humour, it was a laugh a minute which shows in this weeks photos. They even managed to sneakily spit their tongues out at me during the ceremony when the vicar wasn’t looking, love it Following the ceremony they were transported back to Northcote Manor in the coolest ‘Splitty’ VW Camper van from Devon Cool Campers. Luke is a Officer in the Royal Marines and had organised a surprise display by the awesome Royal Marine Band. Anyway, onto the pictures…..

New – Facebook / Email only Photos – Immediate Download

I am running a trial and making all photos in my gallery area avaliable as a Low Resolution and immediate download for only £2.50 each. This is avaliable as of now and they are perfectly sized and optimised for the likes of Facebook, MySpace or even just emailing to Friends & Family etc. It’s just a trial for one month at this stage so we’ll have to see how popular it is before it is offered permanantly.
To make it as fair as possible to all of my customers i’ve also opened up all previously expired galleries for 2 weeks as from today.
