Amy & Andy’s Wedding at the Porthminster Hotel, St Ives

I have to admit i was a little worried about my track record of dry weddings as i was travelling down to Cornwall to photograph Amy & Andy’s wedding at Treslothan Church in Camborne followed by their wedding reception at the Porthminster Hotel in St Ives.. however, despite a wet start for the ceremony at Camborne as we headed off to St Ives for the reception Amy & Andy were treated to an glorious sunny afternoon with some amazing light and because it was wet 10 minutes previously a completely desolate beach… OMG, how perfect? I can’t believe how jammy they were or was it my friend looking after me once again… hmm, have to keep you guessing on that one… Here’s some teaser pics of their stunning wedding….

Kate & Murphy’s Wedding at Tywardreath Church, Cornwall.

The big weekend is here at last, no not Radio 1′s big weekend in Carlisle but Kate & Graeme’s (aka Murphy) wedding at Tywardreath in Cornwall. First of all I should say the Murphy really does not like having his photo taken,  no I mean really really hates it but as you can he looks great :) .
Kate looked amazing as she walked up the alter towards Murphy in his Army uniform and I think the entire congregation were struggling holding back the tears as the emotion overcame Kate during her vows, it was even harder for me as unlike her family who could only hear her voice tremble I could see the tears… It was lovely to see though and it’s easy to see why these 2 got married, they really are a perfect match for each other :) .
Following the ceremony the walked the short distance to their reception in a fabulous Marquee held in the rear garden of the New Inn Pub in Tywardreath.
Several highlights of the day for me I think, there was the first dance which Kate had choreographed a little routine for Murphy & her and also her 12, yes 12 bridesmaids… The cheer when they finished lifted the roof, it was like nothing I’d seen before and looked awesome and also one of the Groomsmen who was wearing a girls nightdress under his Army uniform as he ‘apparently’ picked up the wrong bag off the beach… hmm, do I believe that? ;-)

Pendennis Castle | The Wedding of Anna & Matt

Down in one of my favourite venues in Cornwall, the stunning Pendennis Castle for the wedding of Anna & Matt. I love photographing wedding here and Anna & Matts was no exception. Their ceremony itself was in Budock Church before we headed back to Pendennis Castle for the reception. Timing was always going to be tight with this wedding but to add to the challenge Anna’s brother had organised some awesome surprise fireworks, timed perfectly so that they went off as Anna, Matt and their guests walked from the Castle. As they reached the bottom a second part of an amazing display. Going for maximum impact they literally set them all off at once either side of the castle and were going for a good 6 or 7 minutes.. Simply stunning. Here’s some of the photos from their day :)

Devoran Church & Village Hall | The Wedding of Meg & Pete

The weekend of the 18th December 2010. This weekend we saw the biggest snow fall in 30 years and also the wedding of Meg & Pete :) . Thankfully Cornwall didn’t see the amount of snow the rest of the country endured and i was glued to the weather forecast and travelled down a day early. Meg & Pete opted for a late winter wedding and i have to say it worked really well, i loved the oil lamp they used to walk from the Church to their reception in Devoran Village Hall. With the snow in the air it really set a lovely atmosphere :) Here’s some pics from their day….
