Gants Mill Wedding | Helen & Chris get Married

This weekend i was up at the beautiful Gants Mill in Bruton, Somerset for Helen & Chris Wedding. With not a single cloud in the sky and 29 degree’s it was perfect weather for an outdoor wedding, perfect weather for a BBQ and even more perfect weather for an Ice Cream,.. Thankfully Helen & Chris had arranged all of these and more:). Helen looked stunning as she walked through the gardens with her dad towards the Gazebo where Chris was waiting in anticipation.
Following the ceremony the guests were treated to a delicious BBQ by the Olive Bowl followed by some amazing Ice Creams by Cafe Bon Bon and their 1920′s style Ice Cream Tricycle.
As the evening guests arrived entertainment was provided by a Ceilidh band playing folk music and getting all of the wedding guests up and joining in… It really did look like great fun but i know I’ll never be able to remember those moves, hehe:)

Nicola & Daniels Wedding at Down St Mary, Crediton.

The 2nd of this weekends weddings saw me just up the road in Down St Mary for Nicola & Dan’s Wedding. Not sure if i could manage a wedding much closer to me as it’s only about a mile away, if only they were all as easy as this to get to:). I got to know Nicki & Dan quite well as they were Bridesmaid and Groomsman and Justine & Trevor’s wedding that i photographed last year in Crediton so i knew it was going to be a pretty awesome wedding.
Now Nicki & Dan have this amazing magnetic and energetic personality to all that come in contact to them which kinda explains why there was 150+ to their wedding in the small village of Down St Mary and over 300+ guests in the evening! With the help of their friends and family they pretty much build their wedding venue in Nicki’s parents field, a HUGE marquee was erected (once digger were brought in to level the ground) and Dan being a carpenter built the bar etc… I have to say the finished result was brilliant… Evening entertainment was provided by a band followed by a disco and the dance floor was packed the entire night, until about 4am I’m led to believe lol… Anyway, onto some photos from their day…

Kim Macdonald - WOW, the photos are unbelievable, they are just completely spectacular. The special moments of the day (in just the few photos I see above) was truly captured and frozen in time for us all to see. The photographer didn’t miss anything, they caught the smiles, giggles, happy tears and so much more. I feel like I am actually at the wedding and like I could reach out and hug you guys!! Nicki you are breath taking and Dani you look very handsome, you both make a perfect couple! I love the creative shots of the groomsmen and the wedding party. Love you guys walking across the bridge and Dani jumping and clicking his heals together…now that is one happy groom. Love the (I think) 17th image down where you both are sitting on the ground and Nicki you are in Dani’s arms…I would print that photo large and hang it on your wall – that image displays love at it’s finest :o ) Looks like the weather co-operated in your favour as the sky is brilliant. Sorry I missed your special day, but so happy to see these photos. Love you lots. Congratulations to you both and wish you a life time of happiness. Looking forward to being able to view the rest of the shots.
Love Kim xo

Stoodleigh Court Wedding | Karen & Tom get Married

The first of this weekends 2 weddings I was back at the stunning Stoodleigh Court for Karen’s & Tom’s wedding. Karen looked stunning in her gorgeous Maggie Sottero Wedding dress and i have to say i loved Tom’s choice of orange tie, socks and even his shoes had a hint of orange in them, awesome. Karen was led up the aisle by her dad playing the bagpipes followed by her fabulous bridesmaids. At this point i need to mention that Karen is from Australia and following their marriage they walked back down the aisle to Waltzing Matilda on the bagpipes.. It sounded fantastic:)Following the ceremony it was into Stoodleigh Courts stunning gardens, Karen & Tom had allocated plenty of time for photos and enjoying time with their guests so it was all lovely and relaxed… perfect. Here’s a few teaser shots from their day….

Harewood House Wedding | Anna & Rick get Married

This weekend i ventured ‘up North’ to the Stunning Harewood House in Leeds to photograph Anna & Rick’s Wedding. Anna got in touch when another past bride was singing my praises in an Wedding chat room, check me out for herself, fell in love with my photos and style and booked me straight away. Yay, love the power of the Internet:). So, as a little thank you I thought I’d bring with me some sun up from Devon as i heard they’d not had to much the last couple of weeks which pleased them immensely:).
Anna looks stunning in her Ian Stuart dress and Vivienne Westwood shoes with big love hearts on the toes. Not sure how they fared on the comfy scale though, hehe.. Rick, a die hard ‘Trekkie’ was wearing the obligatory insignia on his carnation. All in all and amazing day and and a fab weekend. Loved every minute of it, thanks Guy’s. Here’s some teaser photos to tickle your taste buds of whats to come:)
