Natasha & Simon’s Xmas Wedding at Northcote Manor

After a week of torrential downpours I was a little anxious as the weekend approached but thankfully someone was looking out for Natasha & Simon for their Christmas wedding at Northcote Manor. Their wedding had a really Christmassy feeling about it, lots of festive decorations and Northcote Manor had the fire roaring away, absolutely fairytale and perfect . The ceremony itself was perfect with one of my fav registrars, Mary Law and played in and out by an amazing harpist. They had some unusual guests in the shape of giant balloons, they were amazing, there were snowmen, Santa’s and Giant Xmas trees, loved them . Here are some teaser photos from their day

Justine & Trevor’s Wedding at Crediton Church and Fingle Glen

This weekend i was nice and local to my studio in Copplestone photographing Justine & Trevor’s Wedding at the Stunning Crediton Church. Some of you may know Justine at she owns ‘That Finishing Touch’ which specialises in Bridal Makeup based also in Crediton and to say i am constantly impressed by her work is an understatement. As Justine has exposure to a pretty much all of the wedding photographers in the South West with her job i was honored to have been asked to photograph her wedding to Trevor and have been looking forward to it for a while .
Their Wedding ceremony was in the stunning Crediton Church which to me resembles a Cathedral, it’s a really grand and beautiful building before heading of to their reception at Fingle Glen in a beautiful vintage Jaguar…
Up at Fingle Glen the fun continued, the children were have an amazing time, especially have rides around the pond in the Golf Buggy driven by Justine & Trevor… Couldn’t possible mention who’s idea that was hehe, it was like a trip to the fairground for them and poor Justine & Trevor would still be there now if they had their way … I never did get my go at sitting on the back …
The table decorations alone with the invites, guest book etc etc were all designed and made by Justine and i have to say it looked amazing, she did a fab job and it must of taken her hours and hours! Following some fun in the gold driving range evening entertainment was kicked of by a Disco by MK Disco’s…

Rebecca & Tom’s Wedding at Kitley House, Plymouth.

This weekend I not only had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca & Tom’s wedding down at Kitley House near Plymouth but was joined by the awesome Captured Moments Video Team who are always a pleasure and so easy to work with. Can you believe that despite a wet morning amazingly, yet again, the sun came out just at the right time – Yay!
Now I know it’s common for couples to buy each other gifts on their wedding day but I think Rebecca may have got a little carried away as Tom had a box jammed full of them from a roll of special just married toilet paper through to a fab underwater Camera and a gold last Rolo.. Awww, soppy gits
Following the ceremony we walked around the grounds including the lake at the bottom, I couldn’t believe our luck as a pair of swans swam up while we were taking photos… These 2 are soo jammy!
Evening entertainment was a band by some members of Rebecca’s family I believe and also this really awesome Juke Box that allows the guests to select their own playlists as the night progresses, what a great idea… it looked pretty cool as well…. Here’s some teaser pics

Amy & Andy’s Wedding at the Porthminster Hotel, St Ives

I have to admit i was a little worried about my track record of dry weddings as i was travelling down to Cornwall to photograph Amy & Andy’s wedding at Treslothan Church in Camborne followed by their wedding reception at the Porthminster Hotel in St Ives.. however, despite a wet start for the ceremony at Camborne as we headed off to St Ives for the reception Amy & Andy were treated to an glorious sunny afternoon with some amazing light and because it was wet 10 minutes previously a completely desolate beach… OMG, how perfect? I can’t believe how jammy they were or was it my friend looking after me once again… hmm, have to keep you guessing on that one… Here’s some teaser pics of their stunning wedding….

Kathryn & Chris Wedding at Whimple, East Devon.

This weekend i was at the village of Whimple in East Devon for Kathryn & Chris HUGE wedding .. I say huge as the church was overflowing with their 200+ guests but after spending the whole day with them and their families it’s very easy to see why they have so many close friends.
The ceremony was taken by the vicar of their own church in Exeter and was really lovely, they had a modern twist of hymns all played by their friends in a band, what a difference this made over the usual organ, i’m convinced the roof was lifting during the hymns hehe .
Following the ceremony i’m thankfully that the good old Met Office located down the road managed to get their forecasts completely wrong again because unlike the torrential rain and thunder we were expecting it was a lovely day with glorious sunshine! Following afternoon tea and cakes the evening celebrations kicked off with a band and followed by a disco, the band were awesome and ensured that the dancefloor was packed, a perfect end to a perfect day Here’s some teaser photos from their day….

Jo & Paul’s Wedding at Braunton, Nr Saunton Sands, North Devon

This weekend I was up on North Devon’s finest Gold Coast at Braunton for Jo & Paul’s Wedding. Jo & Paul have rented a property for the week in Braunton for their family and close friends and utilised this for their reception. The property comes with a barn which they decorated out themselves and i have to say it looked fantastic… Paul also arranged the music for the night powered by his Macbook and I supplied the speakers and lighting as well as doing their photography.
Now Unknown to either Paul or Jo their best man had arranged a vintage Rolls Royce to take them to the church and also sprang an unplanned surprise visit afterwards for them to a packed Saunton Sands… This was one of the many highlights of the day with plenty of well wishes coming from everyone on the beach, including a count down for them to jump off the sand dunes, brilliant .. Another highlight was the chip van in the evening which Paul had arranged to feed the guests with Fish & Chips, what a fab idea.. talking of fab idea’s Paul’s best man used his iPad for his speech with an auto queue App installed which worked brilliantly… If it’s geeky i love it, hehe …

Sarah & James Wedding at Bovey Castle

Well this weekend i was back at the Stunning Bovey Castle for the Wedding of Sarah & James. As I approached Bovey Castle to clouds darkened and the rain started, it wasn’t looking good but I kept telling Sarah that by 1pm it would brighten up…. No idea how i knew that but as Sarah and James stepped out from the ceremony the sun came out and stayed out for the rest of the day keeping my dry wedding record intact – Perfect
Sarah looked stunning, I *loved* the layers and detail in her dress and while I’ve not put any photos up yet her shoes were equally fab, a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo’s, I think it’s safer to not show my wife those pictures, hehe .
James looked equally dapper wearing his dad’s kilt which by all accounts has been round the world including Rock concerts in America… bet that kilt could tell a few stories, hehe….All in all it was a relaxed, enjoyable and emotional day especially during the speeches…
As the evening approached there was defiantly a party atmosphere, i can only imagine how the night went but if the rest of the day and the beginning of the evening are anything to go by it’s going to be a great night with some sore heads in the morning… anyway, here’s a sneak preview of their photos…

Andrea & Michaels Wedding at the Berry Head Hotel, Brixham.

This weekend i was down at the Berry Head Hotel in Brixham for Andrea & Michaels Wedding. Andrea looked stunning in her dress, the layers and detail in it were amazing and i can vouch that it weighed a ton! Thankfully it wasn’t glaring sun but a perfect temperature and we were blessed with stunning skies. The vicar taking the ceremony was brilliant, a real breath of fresh air, if only they were all as nice . Andrea supplied boxes and boxes of confetti for her guests to use outside, in fact i don’t think I’ve ever seen that much at one wedding, it looked amazing though, all of those colours floating through the air…Arriving at Berry Head we were welcomed by stunning sea views and some amazing skies, we therefore couldn’t resist to get down on the rocks to get some stunning photos Talking of which here are some teaser pics of their day for you

Lisa & Steve’s Wedding at Fingle Glen, Devon

Well the sun certainly came out for Lisa & Steve’s Wedding at Hallwill Parish Church & Fingle Glenn, what a day! Lisa and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents farm before heading down to an eagerly awaiting, nervous Steve.. Lisa looked stunning as you can see (as did Steve of course ) One of the number of highlights during the day was Lisa’s Bridesmaids singing during the signing of the register, wow, what a voice. Following the ceremony we were off to Fingle Glenn where everyone relaxed and Lisa & Steve bombed around the grounds in a golf buggy… They must have been having fun as they were gone for ages lol…The evening entertainment was kicked of by a band called fully covered who were excellent i have to say… what a fab day, here’s some teaser pics
