Buckland Tout Saints Hotel | The Wedding of Kate & David

Kate & David’s wedding at the Buckland Tout Saints Hotel was the first of 2 weddings i photographed this bank holiday weekend. Both of which were rather emotional to say the least, talk about a lump in my throat during the speeches… Kate looked absolutely stunning in her dress that she designed herself and not only that she managed to organise the entire wedding in only 3 or so months… As you can see in the photos she did an amazing job, everything was perfect :) …. well almost everything :)

The day started of as an adventure and a half as they had organised a vintage bus to take both the Groomsmen & some of the guests from the hotel to St Mary’s church in Diptford but the bus broke down blocking a country lane… The Groomsmen managed to flag down a passing car which kindly took a couple of them back to the hotel with the hotel staff coming to the rescue giving lifts in their own cars…. I won’t mention the other part where David dropped the ring and it nearly fell down the drain cover at the alter… phew, thankfully it just missed it…. All in all though it was a fantastic day, a really good time was had by all.. Thanks guy’s… here’s a few photos from the day…

The Thurlestone Hotel | The Wedding of Veronica & Fraser

This weekend i was down on the South Devon coast at the stunning Thurlestone Hotel for Veronica & Fraser’s wedding and wow was it hot! It was an amazing day, both the wedding and the weather. Veronica & Fraser bought with them their friends and families from all over the UK and even New Zealand. Veronica looked amazing in her dress with the red detail and her fabulous Gina shoes as of course did Fraser and the boy’s in their kilts :) . We waited until after the wedding breakfast before we popped down to the beach as not only was the beach likely to be less crowded there was also some amazing light for the photos.

Ottery St Mary Church | Caroline & AJ’s Wedding

This week’s wedding brought back plenty of memories for me as not only is AJ in the RAF but he does the same job that i used to do in my past life before wedding photography – Telecommunications & IT.I can imagine that poor Caroline has been a little stressed recently as AJ struggled to return from Afghanistan with the RAF delaying his return date, then the volcanic ash came into effect but with a little help from the Navy he made it back in time :) . The unwritten theme of the day was 2… bear with me here… Caroline had 2 wedding dresses, 2 bouquets and they even had 2 wedding cakes. Caroline managed to find 2 dresses of her dreams but i think you’ll agree she kept the right one, it was stunning, i loved the detail. Caroline & AJ’s were whisked off to their reception at old Feniton Village Hall by a stunning horse and cart. The horses were magnificent. With evening entertainment provided by Caroline’s younger brother’s band and also a disco they also had a hog roast and an extremely popular chocolate fountain :)

Kitley House, Plymouth | The wedding of Claire & Sam

The second of this weekend’s weddings was Claire & Sam’s. They got married at the beautiful church at Wembury, right on the edge of Wembury beach with their reception following at Kitley House just outside of Plymouth. The guests were welcomed into the church with the sounds of bagpipes by Claire’s uncle who came down from Scotland. A fantastic time was had by all with plenty of entertaining moments such as spotting 2 of the bridesmaids looking like they came of a carry on film set between 2 cars (photo below and yes, they were fully clothed!) :) . They’re having their honeymoon at Alton Towers (how cool is that?) before taking a year out and travelling (even cooler). Thanks guy’s, here’s your piccies…
