Claire & Martyn’s wedding at Lakeview Manor & Broadhembury Church

Phew! A busy weekend for us this weekend with a 2 day wedding fair at Westpoint, Exeter as well as Claire & Martyn’s Wedding at Broadhembury Church followed by their reception at Lakeview Manor, formally known as Fishponds. Amazingly the day was timed perfectly with the rain stopping exactly when we needed it to leaving us with perfect even light for the photographs.
Sadly my run of nightmare vicars was to be no different this week, i was told i could only take photos from the back of the church which is normally not too much of a problem but i later learned that the vicar had instructed the bridesmaids to stand in the isle throughout the entire service…hmmm, was this intentional to block my view?.. I’ll let you decide but unlike last weeks vicar at Wembury church who was modern minded and brilliant, this one was another grumpy old git :)
However, this did nothing to dampen the spirits of the day and i can hoestly say i think both Clare & Martyn’s jaw & cheek muscles are really going to be aching today, they didn’t stop smiling from ear to ear all day. I’ve been honored with yet another great couple with their friends and familes. Thank you to you all for a fab day, have a great honeymoon in Kenya :)

Tracey & Ben’s Wedding at Wembury Church & Langdon Court, Plymouth.

This weekend saw the wedding of Tracey & Ben at beautiful Wembury Church right next to the beach followed by the reception at the stunning Langdon Court Hotel just outside of Plymouth. After the ceremony we managed to get down onto a packed beach with a roar of cheers from the surfers and gig rowers attending an annual charity event racing around the island. From there it was onto the reception at Langdon Court Hotel for a real fun and action packed day. They had a Children’s Entertainer as well as a Casino with the evening topped of with a Disco. Yet another awesome couple with a great bunch of friends and families, many of which I fear are going to be suffering from rather sore heads this morning :) .

Diana & Anthony’s Wedding at St Gregory the Great’s Church in Dawlish & Torquay Yacht Club.

This weekend saw the wedding of Diana & Anthony at St Georges Church near Diana’s family home in Holcombe followed by their reception at Torquay Yacht Club. Diana is a vetinary student and Anthony a Pilot Officer in the RAF currently based in London and is responsible for organising various ceremonial events etc. I don’t how he managed it but he certainly organised the weather for their day as there was not a single cloud all day!
Sadly, as is getting all too common these days with church weddings, the vicar banned All Photography for the duration of the Ceremony, even for the professional. Coincidently every time this ban has been put in place the vicar’s have all been women priests! I did managed to sneak in a few shots from the entrance to the church with my telephoto lense so all is not lost on this occaision :)
The speeches were held outside on the roof garden of Torquay Yacht Club with views overlooking the whole of Torquay harbour. We were additionally honoured with a stunning sunset just prior to the party kicking off in full swing :)

Sarah & Michael’s Wedding at St Mary’s Church & China Fleet Golf & Country Club, Plymouth

Saturday I was down in Plymouth photographing the wedding of Sarah & Michael at St Mary’s Church, Plympton followed by their reception at the China Fleet Golf & Country Club across the Tamar in Saltash. Surrounded by their close friends and family it was a fantastic day. Sarah looked stunning in her dress and her awesome shoe’s with ‘I Do’ written on the bottom with Michael & the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids matching in pink much to Michael’s disgust, oh how he did love his pink tie & waistcoat :) . Despite Sarah hating her photo taken she was a natural in front of the camera… Watch this space, I can see an awesome ‘Trash the Dress’ session coming very soon :)
