Sarah & Michael’s Wedding at St Mary’s Church & China Fleet Golf & Country Club, Plymouth

Saturday I was down in Plymouth photographing the wedding of Sarah & Michael at St Mary’s Church, Plympton followed by their reception at the China Fleet Golf & Country Club across the Tamar in Saltash. Surrounded by their close friends and family it was a fantastic day. Sarah looked stunning in her dress and her awesome shoe’s with ‘I Do’ written on the bottom with Michael & the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids matching in pink much to Michael’s disgust, oh how he did love his pink tie & waistcoat :) . Despite Sarah hating her photo taken she was a natural in front of the camera… Watch this space, I can see an awesome ‘Trash the Dress’ session coming very soon :)

Maunsel House | The Wedding of Claire & Marios

This weekend saw the wedding of Claire & Marios at North Curry church followed by their reception at the stunning Maunsel House in Somerset. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a while as Marios’ family are from Cyprus and the wedding included a mixture of English & Greek traditions such as the ‘Money Dance’ which is where the guests pin gifts of money to the couple as they dance. The whole wedding was on a high all day with a number of highlights like the surprise Guard of Honour from Marios Firemen colleagues in Warwickshire but when the evening celebrations started, wow, these guy’s really know how to party. The mixture of Greek & English music provided by Panny from Pannic Disco’s from London and atmosphere was electric, addictive even and as a Greek himself Panny certainly knew how to get the best out of them.

Hayley & Gavin’s wedding at Topsham & Reed Hall, Exeter

And the second of this weekends weddings was Hayley & Gavin’s wedding at St Margaret’s Church, Topsham followed by their reception at Reed Hall in Exeter. You may recognise them from an earlier blog entry a couple of months back when i did a newborn portrait session of their gorgeous son, Leo. Hayley was so excited when i arrived that she was already in her dress, and we still had 2 hours to go :) . While there were many fabulous moments of the day i think the highlight for me was when their best man announced, after the first dance, that Gavin still had to complete a dare they made on his stag night. Poor Gavin had to get up and do a dance in front of all the guests but credit to him, he not did only did it but did it with style :)

Tanya & Simon’s Wedding at Bovey Castle

Tanya & Simon’s wedding at Bovey Castle on Friday was the first of two weddings this weekend for me. Both Tanya & Simon are extremely camera shy, so much so they were not initially going to have a photographer. Thanks to Tanya’s mum they did and i for one am really pleased. It was such a fabulous day in one of Devon’s most prestigious venue’s and despite their shyness we got some great photos.
Tanya & her bridesmaids looked stunning and she had the cutest pair of pageboys (3 including the Gorilla) :) while Simon and the boy’s looked extremely dapper in their uniforms…. Oh and the blow up guitar’s? I never did find out the story about those but there’s was lots, and i mean lots of them…
