The Caudwell Family Portraits

Such is the way of the modern family life with families living further and further apart. Poor Mum had a bit of a challenge getting their 2 daughters and themselves together all at once for a family portrait at their home in Butterleigh, near Tiverton. All came good though and today i popped over there and took some nice relaxed photos in their garden. We all had some fun getting some great pictures. Here’s a sample….

On the beach ‘Trashing the Dress’ in Cornwall

Trashing the Dress is something that has taken the US by storm and is starting to make it’s appearance here in the UK. I’ve been talking about doing one for months and when my sister said she’d be up for it the day after her wedding i jumped at the chance. As far as i’m aware this is the first ever one in Cornwall. :)

Unlike it’s name the dress doesn’t actually ‘have’ to get trashed, in fact the dry cleaner is confident my sisters dress will look like new. What it does do though is allow you to wear the dress once again in locations you wouldn’t normally be seen in a wedding dress and get some really fun photos while doing it. Here’s the photos from her Trash the Dress session at Marazion, i now can’t wait until the next one :) .

Serena & Peter’s wedding at Scorrier House

This weekend saw the wedding of someone very special to me, my little sis :) . Not only did i do her wedding photos but i also allowed her to have the prettiest bridesmaid in the world, my daughter Courteney. My son Josh was also asked to be an usher but he declined as he’s a little shy. Their wedding was at Scorrier House, just outside Redruth in Cornwall. Serena looked stunning as did her daughter, Caitlyn who was her flower girl.

It was a day full of emotion with myself finding it particulary hard taking photos of my daughter both when i first saw her appear in her bridesmaids dress (how grown up does she look?) and again during the ceremony when she did a reading. It’s very difficult to focus when you eye’s are full of tears, I was so proud :).

My dad when he first saw my daughter, Courteney.

And with my neice, Caitlyn putting his buttonhole straight.

When he first set his eye’s on Serena in her wedding dress…..

Proud as punch…. :)

Despite supporting West Ham he’s been accepted into a family of Tottenham supporters…

I loved the opening of light here and just had to take advantage of it.

My Son Joshua & Daughter Courteney… the best kids in the world :)
